Something you might like to consider
A charming property with delightful afternoon teas, and superb breakfast options. The staff was exceptionally friendly and went the extra mile to create a welcoming atmosphere.
The aged building shows some wear, which may detract from the experience for some guests. Steep stairs could be a challenge for less mobile travelers.

beautiful grounds, quaint inn, excellent shower
The furniture felt dated, and the bathroom towels were too thin!!! Steep stairs and a bizarre floor plan made getting around rather inconvenient. A little modernization would do wonders to uplift the experience!!!

We loved exploring the Chatham fish pier, watching seals wait as fishing boats came in. The gardens were gorgeous and perfect for relaxing, while breakfast was a delicious spread that filled us up for our family adventures. The staff made us feel right at home.
In my wife's opinion, more dinner options would have been nice for families.

The Captain'S House Inn features beautifully maintained gardens and charming decor that perfectly captures the essence of New England. The staff was incredibly accommodating, making it easy for seniors like me to navigate the property with comfort.
More seating in common areas would be helpful.

A Charming Getaway with a Touch of Old World
We had a delightful stay in the Garden Room! The room was cozy, though a little low-beamed, so watch your head! The breakfast hit the spot, and high tea was a lovely surprise. Make sure to stroll the beautiful gardens for a true Chatham experience.

Beautiful Stay Amidst Lovely Grounds
Our stay was delightful with a stunning room that felt luxurious, including a massive, cloud-like bed and high-quality linens. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring an array of delicious options that were beautifully cooked. The gardens were a perfect spot for relaxation, creating a charming atmosphere reminiscent of an English country home. However, the service was a bit inconsistent at times, which affected our overall experience.

Staying at Captain's House Inn was a treat. The room felt luxurious, with a comfy king bed, beautiful decor, and an inviting fireplace. Every morning, breakfast amazed us with its variety and quality. We indulged in delicious chef-prepared options in a lovely dining area with views of the gardens. The grounds were meticulously maintained, filled with flowers and cozy spots to sit and relax. Afternoon tea with sweets was a charming touch. The staff seemed genuinely friendly and eager to help with any requests. The only drawback was the initial check-in chaos. we felt a little lost in finding our way around at first. It would have been nice to have clearer guidance on where to grab hot drinks and desserts at night. While Chatham is beautiful, dining options required a brisk walk and were limited. A car definitely helps explore further and ease getting to places. Overall, I left with wonderful memories but wished for a smoother start.
